Why trust me, why trust PetBubble?
I’m a vet, and lifelong pet parent, who knows how hard it can be to find pet-friendly options and places that truly welcome our pet-kids. Like many pet parents I’ve met through life and work, I’ve felt the stress of planning trips, locally or interstate, deciding whether to take them, find safe boarding, or trust someone to come to my home.
I often hear, “Why would I trust a vet? You all just charge a bomb and see our pets as cash cows!” That misconception hurts.
Most vets don’t choose this path for money and I am no exception. I chose it out of passion and a genuine love for animals. After more than a decade of study, long hours, and six years of emotionally demanding clinical practice, I realised I needed a healthier balance for the sake of my mental health. I still want to give back to the world of pets and their people - just in a more diverse and sustainable way.
With my partner’s support, I created PetBubble: a space that facilitates pet-friendly travel simple, safe, and genuinely welcoming. Every page is full of handpicked details and verified for true pet-friendliness. Every tip and feature is shaped by veterinary insight and real experiences from pet parents. As part of refining PetBubble, I’m also shifting cyber-risk by removing data storage from my own systems. Instead, I’m using trusted third-party services with strong, established security measures, making things safer for both my user, and me.
PetBubble isn’t registered as a not-for-profit, but it wasn’t built to generate huge profits like other platforms in the travel, accommodation and pet space. Instead of charging pet parents platform fees, we partner with hosts and operators who can choose whether they want to offer their bookings through PetBubble platform, keeping any fees host/operator-only and as low as possible so everyone can benefit.
Because travelling with pets should be joyful, not complicated. Every pet-friendly experience begins in a bubble of trust.
